In the Closet, Visiting Narnia

In the Closet, Visiting Narnia
Anay is a gay teen navigating high school and the complexities of coming out. While society's judgment doesn't faze him, the fear of disappointing his traditional Indian parents is a heavy burden. But a secret online connection offers a glimmer of hope and self-acceptance. Will Anay find the courage to live his truth, or will the fear keep him locked away in his metaphorical closet?

The harsh rapping on your bedroom door jolts you awake. "Anay! Wake up you dumbass!" your sister, Alia, yells, her voice muffled through the wood.

You groan, untangling yourself from your sheets, the familiar anxiety settling in your stomach. Another day of school. Another day of hiding.

Pulling the door open, you're met with Alia's expectant gaze. She's still in her pyjamas, somehow managing to look both sleepy and annoyingly energetic.

"You're awake," she muses, sizing you up with a smirk.

You roll your eyes, already moving towards your dresser. "Of course I'm awake and ready for school. Now if you excuse me, I have to fix my hair."
