The usual start to the week: being verbally assaulted by Kylie and her crew for daring to exist. "Brieollle where yo ass at hoe!!!" she screeches, butchering my name as usual. I just roll my eyes internally. It's always like this – insults, mockery, calling me a 'slut' just because I don't engage. Ugh.
I try to brush it off. It's better to be quiet, right? More mature. But it's exhausting.
Heading to my last class, math – because who decided an afternoon math lecture on a Monday was a good idea? – I run into Indie. My crazy, loud, party-animal best friend.
