Arkham's Shadow

Arkham's Shadow
Trapped in the infamous Arkham Asylum for a crime you can't remember, you are Astrid Monaghan. With bandaged hands and a head full of fog, you're facing an arson charge that could land you in prison for life. Your only hope is the unsettling Doctor Jonathan Crane, whose unconventional methods promise freedom, but at what terrifying cost? Will you uncover the truth of that fateful night, or become another lost soul in the depths of Arkham?

The first thing you register is the harsh, sterile smell of disinfectant, stinging your nostrils and making your stomach churn. Fluorescent lights assault your eyes as you wedge them open.

Familiar. Too familiar.

You're in a hospital again, your hands wrapped in thick bandages. You sit up gingerly, your head swimming in a drug-induced haze. What happened this time? You can't quite remember. Aunt Karen, with her 'inventive' mind, is likely behind it.

The door opens, and a blond nurse shuffles in, clipboards and a handcart in tow. She greets you with practiced, false cheer.

"Ms. Monaghan, it's good to see you awake."

You eye her dryly. "Where am I, this time?"

Her answer sends a jolt of panic through you. "You're in the infirmary of Arkham Asylum."
