Bulletproof

The air in the underground fighting circle is thick with anticipation, the roar of the crowd a physical force. Tyler Madden, known here as "Bullet," faces a larger opponent, analyzing his weaknesses, the pain from last night's fight a dull ache in his abdomen. This hidden world, a brutal escape, is now a cage.
Meanwhile, high school student Franny sits in a mundane classroom, dealing with a pop quiz from a disagreeable teacher and the familiar awkwardness of her relationship with her father. She’s noticed the change in Tyler Madden, the bruises, the distance. Something is clearly wrong.
Later, at a local diner, a tense conversation with her father about selling her mother's belongings reveals a financial secret that shakes Franny. Driven by confusion and a need for fresh air, she steps outside and sees Tyler Madden, along with another boy, heading into a nearby bar – a place that doesn't fit the image of the boy she remembers. Her curiosity is piqued, pulling her towards the mystery surrounding Tyler, a mystery that seems intertwined with a world far more dangerous than she could imagine.
