When a rogue portal in the Emerald Forest throws Team RWBY into a world fractured by an awakening ancient evil, they find themselves entangled with the legendary hero, Sonic the Hedgehog. Transformed by Dark Gaia's energy, Sonic must navigate his new monstrous form, reunite the broken planet, and uncover the truth alongside his new, unexpected allies from Remnant. High above Earth, Dr. Eggman cackles as his laser shatters the planet, awakening the ancient Dark Gaia. Sonic, attempting to stop him, is caught in the blast, transformed by the dark energy as he falls towards the fractured world. Meanwhile, in the Emerald Forest on the world of Remnant, a rogue portal pulls Team RWBY into the same chaotic event. They find themselves in the fragmented world, where a strange purplish-blue object falls from the sky – a transformed Sonic, along with the powerless Chaos Emeralds.
