Alpha's Third Chance

Rain lashed against the window of Alpha Theo King's office, mirroring the storm in his heart. He stared out at the gloomy scene, the recent, brutal rejection by his second mate, Isabella White, still a raw wound. He felt the phantom pain from her intimacy with her true love, a deliberate torment she inflicted because he hadn't accepted her rejection.
His office was a wreck, shattered glass and overturned furniture testament to the fury he'd unleashed after she slammed the door. His father, Christian, had tried to intervene, pleading with Isabella to give Theo a chance, reminding her she was his last hope for a mate. But Isabella, fueled by hatred and love for another, had spat cruel words before shifting and disappearing into the woods.
Theo was left alone once more, the pain a constant ache. He recalled his first mate, Arabella, who had cowered from him, driven away by his anger and the beatings that followed. Now, Isabella, another 'Bella,' was gone too. He believed himself a monster, incapable of being loved. Even his mother, Amy, had given up hope.
Summoning his Beta, Kendall, Theo prepared for an upcoming Alpha meeting, the weight of his pack and his own troubled soul heavy upon him.
