The Human Project

The Human Project
In a world dominated by towering Vareshian giants, humans are little more than commodities. Lorian Thorne, a quiet, oversized student, is thrust into a bizarre assignment: observe and study a living human, caged like an animal. As he grapples with his own unsettling past and the unexpected reality of a trembling, silent boy, Lorian finds himself questioning everything he thought he knew about his world... and about himself.

The vast lecture hall, filled with the low hum of air conditioning and the rustle of notes, felt oddly empty to Lorian Thorne. He settled into his usual seat at the back, the old wood groaning under his weight. Three rows ahead, Ava Solwin sat focused, her dark hair catching the dim light. The professor entered, announcing a new, 'hands-on' methodology.

Assistants wheeled in carts covered with white cloths. A hush fell over the room as cages were placed on every desk. Lorian pulled the cloth from his, his breath catching. Inside, huddled and trembling, was a human – small, young, and terrified. This was his assignment. A living, breathing project.
