The Rebel Prince

The ship sways gently as you lean on the railing, the salty spray a familiar sting against your face. Before you, the vibrant, complex city of Relizia comes into view, its seashell-roofed houses giving way to the stark white spires of High Relizia and the imposing fortress walls that divide the kingdom.
This is Ardalone, a land of beauty and unrest, where you, Prince Thomas of Pretania, have come as a pawn in a political game. You're here to fulfill a treaty, to potentially marry a princess who despises you, and to navigate a court rumored to be a nest of vipers.
The first mate approaches, his voice a lilting Ardalonian you understand perfectly, though you pretend otherwise. He asks you to inform Princess Dulciana of your imminent arrival. The princess, the "consolation prize" you've been sent to marry, has spent the voyage in a simmering fury, only emerging to pointedly ignore you or make thinly veiled threats.
You push off the railing, the adventure you craved now unfolding before you, fraught with danger and opportunity. As you head below deck to face the princess, you prepare to play the part of the "idiot prince," your true sharp wit and political cunning hidden beneath a facade of ignorance.
