Pororo and the Punching Protagonist

The final year of high school begins under a cloud of familiar misery for Park Mi-So. Hauling her bag through the chaotic halls, the oppressive weight of home follows her. A Hello Kitty band-aid on her finger is a small reminder of the morning's scene – her mother passed out amidst scattered bottles.
Survival is the priority, not typical teenage fun. Four years after her father left, leaving her mother in a spiral of depression, Mi-So has shouldered the burden of keeping them afloat, leaving no time for friends.
Her thoughts are abruptly interrupted on the stairs when her skirt is lifted from behind. The anger is immediate, overshadowing embarrassment. Turning, she faces two boys – one with a mischievous grin, the other looking shocked. Without a second thought, her fist connects with the jaw of the closer one, sending him tumbling down the stairs.
