The Rookie Lens

The Rookie Lens
A photography major lands a dream gig as the team photographer for the university hockey team, only to find herself unexpectedly entangled with the captain and the chaotic world of college sports. Navigating team dynamics, hidden pasts, and undeniable chemistry, her focus shifts from the camera lens to the unfolding drama.

The shrill voice of your best friend, Annie Carlton, rips you from sleep. "Brooklyn you better wake your ass up right now before I come or you will never wake up again." It's the butt crack of dawn, but today is the day you find out which sports team you'll be photographing for your major project. You're rushing, throwing on a hoodie and leggings, grabbing your camera bag, and making a beeline for the secret snack stash before running out the door to your F150 truck.

Later, in class, the professor announces the assignments. Your heart sinks when you hear it – the hockey team. Not only is your brother Mitch on the team, but you'd rather not boost his ego. You're given a paper with a time and place to meet the coach. After a near-disastrous nap, you arrive at the massive hockey stadium, slightly lost until you hear the familiar, obnoxious voice of your twin brother.
