Project Sparta: Nothing Is As It Seems

Project Sparta: Nothing Is As It Seems
An elite black-ops operative uncovers a conspiracy that shatters his reality. His mission to stop a terrorist attack becomes a desperate hunt for a traitor within his own ranks, forcing him to question everything he's ever known about loyalty, truth, and the true cost of patriotism.

The world faded back in with a piercing ringing in your ears. A splitting headache throbbed behind your eyes. You were in a hospital bed, the faint sound of a nurse’s voice a distant whisper. You raised a hand to your ear, signaling you couldn't hear.

The nurse, a kind woman named Penny, grabbed a whiteboard. "Hearing should come back," she wrote. You nodded, taking in the sterile room.

"You need rest," she wrote again, pointing to the words. You tried to sit up, but a wince of pain shot through your ribs. Penny gently pushed you back down. She wrote something else, something that finally registered: "You've been unconscious for three days!"

You settled back, the shock washing over you. "Package?" you asked, your voice sounding strange and distant to your own ears.

"Your pack was recovered from the extraction site," she wrote, retrieving your familiar combat pack from the corner. Relief washed over you as you dug through it, finding the heavy item wrapped in cloth. The mission wasn't a total failure.

You unwrapped the object – the stone brick. Its engraving stared back at you: "لا شيء يبدو كما هو" (Nothing is as it seems).

Agent Zero's words echoed in your mind. A traitor. A defector from Project Sparta. Planning an attack. And they knew your name.

Your eyes darted to a folded pair of clothes in the corner. Rest was a luxury you couldn't afford.
