The Beast God's Blessing

The cool autumn air caressed your tan skin as you made your way down the street, headed to your friend and "rival's" Apothecary shop. You and Rebecca had been friends since you were little girls, both highly interested in herbology but for different reasons.

When you arrived, you entered the shop, walking past the sign labeled "Closed," calling out for your friend. "Rebecca, I'm here. Are you in the back?"

A sweet voice called back, "I'll be out in just a second, Karee! Lock the door behind you so no customers come in, would ya."

Chuckling to yourself, you complied. While waiting, you viewed new items not yet for sale, spotting a blue gem with a green swirl. Out of curiosity, you reached for it. Holding it, you were surprised by a strange vibration...
