Roommate Roulette

The administrative office was a whirlwind of new students, all buzzing with a mix of excitement and nerves. You clutched the small piece of paper with your room assignment, a nervous flutter in your stomach.
"Third floor, room 304," the lady at the desk said with a smile, handing you a key. "Welcome to campus."
You thanked her, the weight of your suitcase a familiar burden as you dragged it towards the elevator. Thoughts swirled in your head – what would your roommate be like? Would you get along? You pressed the button for the third floor, catching a glimpse of your reflection in the elevator doors.
Your green eyes stared back, framed by a halo of frizzy, afro-like hair. You sighed, pushing the hair behind your ear. Maybe you should have tried a little harder this morning.
The elevator dinged, pulling you from your thoughts. Room 304 was easy to find, the numbers standing out clearly. Taking a deep breath, you reached for the handle, only to find it unlocked. A wave of disappointment washed over you – you'd hoped to get here first to pick your room.
You pushed the door open and stepped inside, your eyes immediately landing on a figure sitting on the couch. It was a boy.
"Can I help you?" you asked, confusion filling you.
He stood up, his tall frame casting a shadow over you. "Yeah you can, what the fuck are you doing in my room?"
