Thunder in Your Heart

The night is dark and stormy, rain lashing against the windows of your suburban home. Thunder rumbles ominously, a sound that always makes your heart race. While checking the windows, you hear a noise outside. Though scared, you venture out, calling for your pet cat, Shoe. Instead of your cat, you find a large, injured white tiger. Pity overcoming fear, you help the creature. Just as lightning strikes a nearby tree, the tiger shoves you out of the way, taking the brunt of the falling branch. When you wake, the tiger is gone, leaving you with only the memory and a strange, ruby-encased ring that seems stuck on your finger. The next day, trying to forget the bizarre event, you bump into a stranger who drops a ring identical to yours. Following them into a museum, you learn of ancient legends and a world called Third Earth. Suddenly, an explosion rocks the museum, and you find yourself transported to a world where animals walk and talk like humans. The old man’s tales are true, and you are somehow part of this reality.
