Inheriting her grandmother's old house, Lyra, who is deaf, finds herself haunted by a young, spectral woman she cannot understand. The year is 1978. Stepping out of your car, you, Lyra Doyle, look up at the house you've just inherited from your grandmother. It's old, with a creaky gate, but filled with memories of your early childhood.
As you approach, you catch a glimpse of a figure in the living room window. Assuming it’s someone related to the property transfer, you briefly turn to lock your car.
When you look back, the figure is gone. Brushing it off, you unlock the front door and step inside the house, ready to explore your new home.
