The school day ends, and you and your friends, Bear, Eddie, Katie, and Nate, are ready to head home.
Bear starts talking about a strange machine at the end of the forest that supposedly gives you a demon. Nate gets scared, and Bear, pulling out a red coin, challenges you to try it. You accept, determined to prove Bear wrong and defend Nate.
Later, venturing into the forest, you find an old priest who directs you towards a large tree where the 'crank-a-kai' machine lies. Despite some hesitation, you press on, finding the small, peculiar machine. Inserting Bear's coin and turning the crank, a small black capsule rolls out. You open it, releasing a puff of purple smoke, and find yourself face-to-face with a small lion figure.
