Luna stared at her best friend, Jemma, across the table at Smokeys. Jemma was glued to her phone, giggling, seemingly distant. Luna felt a familiar pang of being left out. "Is that Jake?" Luna asked, hoping to bridge the gap.
Jemma looked up, a slight frown creasing her brow. "No, it's Maisha, the girl I was telling you about."
Luna nodded slowly. "Oh… is Maisha Papa's girlfriend?"
"Eh, not anymore, but he's been trying to win her back," Jemma replied, returning to her phone.
