Possessed Vacation

A seemingly normal family vacation to Malaysia takes a horrifying turn when the protagonist's family returns from a spontaneous road trip, behaving strangely and emitting a foul odor. Is it exhaustion, or has something sinister followed them home?
The humid air of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport hangs heavy around you as you disembark the plane, the six-hour flight from Melbourne finally over. Relief washes over you, quickly followed by a knot of unease. Your family – Mum, Dad, your two older brothers, and your youngest sister – are walking strangely, a wobbly, almost unnatural gait, and a foul, sulfurous odor seems to cling to them. Despite your anxiety, you push it down, attributing it to exhaustion from their impromptu road trip into the Malaysian wilderness. But as you navigate customs, their inability to fill out simple travel cards, requiring you to do it for everyone, sends a shiver down your spine. Something is terribly wrong.
