Whispers in the Rain

The night was wrapped in a heavy silence, the kind that made even shadows feel alive. Under a flickering streetlight, a young girl stood alone.
From the darkness, a figure slowly approached. When he was just a few steps away, the girl finally spoke, her voice soft, but haunting.
"You could've saved me... but you didn't."
Again and again, she repeated those words - each time louder, sharper, more accusing. And just as the tension reached its peak- you woke up.
Your body jerked upright, drenched in sweat. Your chest heaved, breath shallow, heart racing. It was that dream again. The same terrifying scene that refused to leave your mind. You wiped your forehead and sat still, trying to calm yourself. Sleep didn't visit you again that night.
As the sky lightened with dawn, the day began. You are Dev, a high school boy, lost in your thoughts, often haunted by dreams you couldn't explain. The sleepless night has left you drained, but you force yourself to get ready for school. You put on mismatched socks, grab your crumpled clothes, and head out, knowing another day of being an outcast awaits.
