Azrael's Redemption

The cold concrete presses against your back as you slide down, the yelling of your captor echoing in your ears. "Fight back you bitch!" but you're spent, unable to muster the strength.

Then they bring out Beau, a little five-year-old boy you've practically raised. The gun points at him. "Fight back or I'll shot!" The threat ignites a fire within you. You rise, throwing punches until he falls, his head hitting the floor.

You kick the guard until he's incapacitated, your own limbs giving out. Two guards drag you back to your cell. Beau rushes over, jumping into your arms, a painful weight you endure without complaint. You love Beau like a son, but you know you can't replace his mother. You have your own son, Sebastion, whom you love more than anything, but can't support as you wish you could. He's your ex-boyfriend's son, a painful reminder of being raped.

Your cell door creaks open. Ren's voice is a cruel whip. "Your step father wants you home you slut."

You pick up Beau, scrambling to your feet, your mind racing to ensure Sebastion is safe. Bursting through the door, you hear it – "Mama mama mama mama!" Your heart aches. "Hey my baby," you whisper, scooping him up, trying to be quiet as John sleeps on the couch. Dressing the boys in cute outfits, you cover your own scars and bruises before heading out, Sebastion in your arms, Beau clutching your hand. You're an assassin, capable of making millions, yet most of it goes to John and Ren.
