24 Hours in Paris

Mira Attwal sat in a chic Paris bistro, surrounded by the boisterous laughter of her American colleagues. It was the final night of a business trip for Bloom, a sparkling beverage company, and Mira felt utterly immune to the celebratory atmosphere.
Her focus was drawn to Jake Lewis, a salesman from her company she barely knew, whose smarmy demeanor and questionable hair gel were already grating on her nerves. As the night wore on, filled with wine, forced conversation, and Jake's attempts to charm the waitress, Mira found herself increasingly annoyed and bored, her thoughts drifting back to the "cataclysmic" event that had led her to Paris in the first place – her recently cancelled wedding.
Later, after her colleagues had left for their earlier flights, Mira discovered that both she and Jake had been bumped to a different, later flight. The realization that she had an unexpected 24 hours left in Paris, coupled with the frustrating circumstances and Jake as her sole remaining companion, set the stage for an unpredictable extension to her trip.
