Emperor's Scarred Heart

The city is alive with the warm glow of a summer evening. Children chase each other by the Uptus River, and couples enjoy boat rides. Sheru, draped in a dirty scarf to hide his face, walks among the crowds, attempting to sell lilies he received from a kind florist.
Despite his efforts, the nobles he approaches dismiss him with condescending glances, refusing to buy from someone they see as a 'dirty rat.' As sunset approaches and his hopes dwindle, Sheru washes his face by the riverbank, contemplating resorting to begging once more.
Just as he accepts his fate, a handsome man in fine noble attire approaches, his features sharp and eyes captivating. He inquires about buying all of Sheru's flowers, offering double the price, and then extends an unexpected invitation for a boat ride.
