The Billionaire's Substitute Bride

My life is a mess. I was only two years old when I was left at the orphanage. I grew up there, and as the years passed, the other kids were adopted, leaving just me and Nanny. She’s everything to me, my only family, and I refused adoption just to stay with her. We’re the only two left now.
Today, I was working my usual shift at 'The Hideout' cafe, my mind wandering as I watched the customers. That old man staring at his coffee, the guy ignoring his food for a blonde, the cute kid clapping at his drink—they all seemed to have their own little dramas. Then, a rude customer came in, demanding a cappuccino and insulting me.
After she tasted the coffee and called it 'shit,' demanding another, I snapped. My manager fired me on the spot. Furious, I threw the second cappuccino at her before leaving.
Jobless and with my head spinning, I arrived home to find Nanny holding a letter. Her son had gambled away our house. We have a week to leave. Desperate, I knew I had to do something. Steve, my only friend, was my last hope for a job.
