Lost in the Cosmos

The bright light on your eyes is the first sensation, followed swiftly by the familiar sting of a punch. Yeah, you're getting beat up again. It's Matt, of course, with his two lackeys. Usually, you can dodge them, slip away into the school crowd, but not today.

A nasty crack echoes as Matt's fist connects with the brick wall where your head was a moment ago. Seizing the opportunity, you bolt, losing yourself in the chaotic hallway.

Classes finally end, and instead of heading home to an empty house, you decide to clear your head with a walk in the woods. Hours later, the setting sun reminds you you're lost. Not a big deal, it happens. But this time, as dusk deepens, you realize you're really lost.

Hoping over a fallen tree, you notice a trail of destruction – broken trees, a clear path gouged into the dirt. Curiosity overriding caution, you follow it. Within minutes, a massive, ship-like structure appears, half-buried in the earth. An open hatch beckons, promising a potential hideout. You step inside, unaware that this decision will send you hurtling into the terrifying unknown.
