The Deep State: Genesis

The Deep State: Genesis
In a world where truth and lies blur, the CIA operates in the shadows. A mysterious crystal and the 'StarGate' project tear open reality, thrusting a seasoned agent into a chaotic city teeming with animal-eared people, strange magic, and violent revolutionaries. Stranded and wounded, his survival hinges on navigating this alien world and forging unlikely alliances. What secrets lie within the 'Doctor' he rescued, and can he uncover the truth before the city, and perhaps the world, is consumed?

The oppressive silence of the paper-filled office was broken by the persistent ring of the telephone. As CIA Director, calls at this hour were rarely good news.

“This is Laurence, Sir.”

“Ah, I'm here to inform you that Stargate is confirmed, you have a lot of work to do this coming week, Sir.”

The Stargate. The project connected to that damn crystal that crashed years ago. Another step into the unknown.

Days later, you, Agent Snafu, find yourself back in the USA, called in for the first public test of Project StarGate at Area 555. Driving towards the facility, a blinding light erupts, and in an instant, the world shatters. You crash into a building, the sounds of chaos and unfamiliar chants filling the air. Stepping out of the wreckage, you find yourself in a destroyed city, populated by people with animal ears and wielding strange powers. This is not Area 555. This is not home.
