The Tattered Brothers' Journey

The mist hung heavy on the eastern foothills of the ancient ocean country on the Sea Soul Star. Pine trees released their elegant scent, and birdsong echoed through the lush jungle.
Two ragged figures stumbled through the undergrowth, supporting each other with weary steps. Jiang Ziheng, the taller of the two, leaned heavily on the shorter boy, Xiao Ji.
"Zi... Ziheng," Xiao Ji panted, his frail body trembling, "when... when can we take a break? I'm tired."
"You good-for-nothing!" Ziheng snapped, his voice shrill with exhaustion and frustration. "Look at you!"
Their stomachs rumbled, a constant reminder of their hunger. They were lost, starving, and the world felt impossibly vast and uncaring.
Suddenly, the sky above them began to churn. Dark clouds rolled in, and a distant, dull thunder rumbled with immense power. Both boys froze, their faces turning pale, remembering the disaster that had stolen everything from them. A flash of golden light pierced through the gloom in the distance, a mysterious beacon in the turbulent sky. Driven by a desperate hope, they turned towards it.
