The Union's Grip

The Union's Grip
In a post-apocalyptic North America ravaged by World War 5, the tyrannical Union government clashes with the remnants of America. Caught in the crossfire, nine-year-old Kimberley and her younger sister Ronnie witness their father, a Union officer, brutally murder their American mother. Forced to flee into the harsh wilderness, they are discovered by Logan, the head commander of the mysterious Outcasts—a tribe of stateless survivors who train child soldiers. Will the sisters find a new home and the strength to survive in this brutal world, or will the shadows of their past and the dangers of their future consume them?

The world is at war. The Union, a ruthless government, has overtaken half of North America. Your father, a Union officer, stands over your mother, her body limp, her life stolen by his hands. Your younger sister, Ronnie, cries in your arms, her small body trembling.

“United States filth,” your father spits, his eyes filled with hatred as he turns towards you and Ronnie. You know, in that horrifying moment, that your lives are also in danger. With a desperate whisper, you urge Ronnie to run, just before your father's fingers close around your neck.
