Astrid Monteverde (Bitch Series #1)

The first day at Brixton High University. Lorraine Dela Cruz, a scholarship student hoping for a quiet transfer, arrives late for her first class, Filipino, taught by the stern Mrs. Cordillas. She meets Jamie Francisco, another transferee, who quickly becomes her friend.

Later, in the crowded canteen during break, Lorraine notices students whispering and laughing while looking at her, particularly a group of popular, seemingly wealthy students at a central table. Jamie warns her about this group, identifying them as the school's number one bullies.
