Infinitesimal: The Disappearance

The familiar pavement of Rosewood, Pennsylvania greeted Carden Ashford as she stepped off the bus. A year had passed since she left for college, a year since Alison DiLaurentis disappeared. Now, Alison was confirmed dead, and Carden had returned, armed with knowledge and a burning desire for answers the police couldn't find.
Walking down Main Street, searching for the apartment she'd secretly rented, Carden bumped into Ella Montgomery, the mother of one of Alison's friends. An invitation to dinner led Carden to Aria Montgomery, and her first opportunity to piece together the events of that fateful Labor Day night.
Back in her apartment, a threatening text from 'A' revealed that her own carefully guarded secret—dropping out of Stanford and using her college fund—was known. The message, accompanied by a picture of her at the bank, sent a chill down her spine. Someone was watching, and they knew her weaknesses.
Later, running to clear her head, Carden saw police cars and a coroner at Alison's old house. A gurney was being wheeled out, and a familiar bracelet dangled from beneath the sheet. Alison. Her world fractured.
At the funeral, surrounded by black, Carden joined Alison's friends: Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily. As a new text from 'A' arrived, simultaneously on all their phones, Carden realized she wasn't the only one being targeted. The game had begun.
