The air was thick with the scent of pine and fear. Torches cast dancing shadows on a grim scene deep within the forest. Bound to wooden poles, her parents, Esther and Anders Månelys, faced their accusers under the stark red glow of a blood moon.

Thirteen-year-old Lupita watched in horror as they were sentenced to death, accused of striking a bargain with vampires. Her own face, bruised and bloody, became a focal point of the accusation – her peculiar, moon-like eyes deemed proof of a demonic curse.

Then, the axe fell. Her parents' heads... gone. As the executioner turned towards her, a searing pain ripped through Lupita. Her skin tore, bones cracked, and teeth sharpened. Before the terrified eyes of the gathered werewolves, she transformed, not into a normal pup, but a large, brown wolf with glowing red eyes.

Chaos erupted – fire, screams, blood. Lupita shifted back and forth, the pain agonizing. When it stopped, she was human again, her neck burned, her heart broken. Looking at her parents' bodies and the burning forest, she ran. Ran and ran, hating everything connected to that night.
