Lavender and Honey

The familiar scent of training sweat clung to you as you wiped your brow with a towel. Beta Kayden’s encouraging smile was a balm to your exhaustion.
“Nice job today, Olwen. You're getting better, just need to pay attention to your surroundings a little more and dodge the attacks in time,” he complimented, his tone warm.
“Thanks. You're a good trainer,” you managed to grin back, the praise lifting your spirits.
“Well, you've trained hard enough for today. Go and rest up. Tomorrow is the Olive Branch Festival, and as future Luna you'll be overseeing preparations along with my daughter.” He waved you off, and you left the training center, still catching your breath but feeling a bubbling sense of fulfillment. Running a hand through your pale brown curls, you admired the wind rustling through the trees on your walk home. You were Olwen Adams, an omega destined for a future you’d never imagined.
