Prince Charming is the Bad Guy

The morning of your first day back at school as a senior starts like any other, hitting the snooze button one too many times. Your younger sister Kylie barges in to rush you, reminding you that your boyfriend James will be here soon.

After a quick shower and getting ready, you join your mom for pancakes, discussing her new nursing job. The topic of your father comes up, and you recall your earliest memory of him leaving when you were three, believing he left for another woman.

James arrives, and you head to school, meeting your best friend Flora who excitedly tells you about a new student, Caleb, who was in juvenile prison. Later, in Chemistry class, you are shocked when Caleb is assigned the seat next to you. His smug demeanor and attempts to annoy you immediately rub you the wrong way. After class, you see Flora talking to him and get a bad feeling.

Later that evening, your mother reveals a devastating truth: your father was abusive and is being released from prison, actively looking for her. To protect her, you and Kylie must immediately move in with her old friend Katherine and her family – who turn out to be Caleb's family.
