In the chaotic aftermath of a fierce battle, you, Landen Miles J., a soldier in Division 102, are the lone survivor. Injured and lost in unfamiliar woods with only your loyal dog, Paco, you must navigate a bizarre world filled with talking animals in police uniforms who seem to know your name. (You wake up face down in the mud, in a forest. Rain is beating down on you. Everything aches. You push yourself up, gasping for air, mud clinging to your face.
'Where... where am I?' you think, looking around at the unfamiliar trees.
You spot Paco nearby, unconscious but seemingly okay. Dragging yourself and your loyal dog to the nearest tree, you lean back, trying to catch your breath. Blood from your wounded shoulder stains the mud a dull red.
'Where are we, Paco?' you mutter, placing his head in your lap. You feel yourself weakening, the world blurring. 'Dammit, I lost too much blood. Is this where I die?'
