For twelve years, you've been hidden away in a desert cave with your mentor, Tarkin, training tirelessly. Now, on your sixteenth birthday, Tarkin is gone, leaving you with a legacy and a mission: escape the desert, find your people, and embrace the truth of who you are. But the world is a dangerous place, and your journey begins with a chance encounter that will change everything.
The cool darkness of the cave is a stark contrast to the scorching desert sun outside. You stand before the burial cairn of your mentor, Tarkin, the only person you’ve known for twelve years. Grief weighs heavy, but his final instructions echo in your mind: leave this place, don your father's armor, take his sword, and journey north to find your people. The world outside the cave is unknown and terrifying, but you are a 'dragon', trained to be the hunter, not the prey. Clad in tarnished mail and armed with the Longsword of the South, you step out of the only home you've ever known, into the vast and unforgiving Sands.
