Butterfly Ship: Gifts of the Chimera

The morning sun cast pale light into your new room in Cadeus Falls. Today was your first day as a municipal clerk, a prospect that had your nerves humming.

You'd forgotten about the small brass hand bell and rolled parchment note on the corner table until you saw them. The note, addressed to you, read: 'For Jasper, before he forgets.' Puzzled, you picked up the bell.

A tentative shake of the bell, and your surroundings vanished, replaced by a breathtaking golden field under a vast blue sky. Another shake, and you were back in your room. This mysterious object could take you to other places.

A second ring transported you to a room filled with towering bookshelves and a staircase. You froze, discovered by a red-haired woman who mistook you for someone else expected for 'training'. Panicked, you rang the bell again, narrowly escaping back to your room.

Shaken but intrigued, you placed the bell down, your mind racing with questions about where it came from and what other places it could take you.
