Unplanned Beginnings

The final year of high school looms, a landscape of familiar faces and the promise of freedom. For La'Toya, it's a countdown to escape, a year to endure the 'fake snakes' and focus on her future: graduation, a job, and her own apartment.

But the carefully constructed path of her senior year is instantly derailed by the deafening roar of a black Silverado's music, a sound she knows belongs to the arrogant, star athlete Orlando. Their first interaction is a clash over seats in class, setting the stage for a simmering animosity that boils over in the school parking lot, culminating in a near-miss that sends La'Toya speeding away, tears blurring her vision. In a terrifying moment, distraction leads to disaster – a head-on collision averted only by a swerve that sends her hot pink Camaro crashing into a tree, leaving her life hanging in the balance.
